Always a bittersweet meditation on watching children grow, the series said goodbye to Andy-the owner of Woody the cowboy, Buzz Lightyear the spaceman, and all the rest-and left the toys with another, more appreciative youngster, Bonnie. By the end of 2010’s Toy Story 3, it seemed that Pixar’s great first franchise had reached the end of its metaphor.
